Seal Coating Services
Seal coating is a process of applying a water-based coal tar sealer to existing asphalt and works best on new asphalt. It restores the original appearance of your old asphalt. Seal coating will help protect your asphalt by sealing small cracks to prevent water penetration and slowing down oxidation by the sun. In addition, is will make your asphalt resistant to oil and gas. Seal coat is an inexpensive way to enhance curb appeal of your property while prolonging the life of your asphalt.
The two most critical factors for a quality seal coat are surface prepartation and rate of application in gallons per square foot. Pavement Services takes the time to get your asphalt as clean as possible before we apply any sealer. We apply a heavy coat of sealer at the rate of 50 square feet per gallon with 2% latex and sand added for texture and wear resistances. If we need to stripe, we wait one day for the sealer to cure. This keeps the striping paint from turning an off color.
